Perry was given the opportunity to speak to the very friendly Kevin McNally through an interview for the internet site.

001.Can you name both a agreement and big difference in terms of character between yourself and Richard Woodhull from the TV series “Turn:

       Washington’s Spies” of 2017?

Like Richard, I too have a very strong sense of justice. The difference between us is that he is a monarchist. So Richard is for the royal house, the

great England. Unlike Richard, I myself am a Republican. He certainly couldn't belong to my own circle of friends. He lacks the necessary humor for

that. Richard is way too serious.

002.What's it like working on projects with your wife Phyllis Logan?

Working with Phyllis is like any other to me. We work together when there is a project that appeals to both of us. We met in 1993 on the set of the

miniseries 'Love and Reason'. Thereafter, Phllis and I worked together in 1999 on an episode of the TV series "Rab C. Nesbitt" and in 2003 for the

movie ‘Crust’, before getting married on August 15, 2011. After that we worked together in 2011 on three episodes of the TV series “Downton Abbey”

and in 2021 on the short film ‘You Really Got Me’.

003.How do you look back on the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' -movies and how important was this film series to your career?

I look back on it with much affection. For the Hollywood film 'Entrapment' from 1999, I had my scenes filming in England. However, the 'Pirates of the

Caribbean' - movies meant my ticket to Hollywood. I like playing American characters. Because the market is bigger for that. The most recent part,

'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' is already from 2017 and I have of course already heard the rumors about a sixth part. However,

these are only rumors, I have not yet heard anything about concrete plans for a new part of the series. But the fact that Johnny (Depp, Jack Sparrow -

ed.) would not return for a possible sixth part is more due to the media. I don't think he would want to do it himself anymore.

004.What can we expect from you in the future in showbiz?

Currently I am busy working on the films 'Underdogs Rising', 'Death on the Dearborn' and 'Apartment 7A', the TV-Film 'Argh and the Quest for the

Golden Dragon Skull' and the short films 'An unexpected encouter’ and ‘Reflections’. However, it is not yet known when these projects will be

       released.
